How we rate
Played to verdict, scored on fun-per-minute, monetization judged separately.
1. Played, not skimmed
Every rated game is played to a real verdict — campaign progress, not ten minutes and a trailer. If a game needs 20 hours to judge fairly, it gets 20 hours or no score.
2. Fun-per-minute first
The core score measures enjoyment density: how good the minutes are, not how many there are. A perfect 3-hour game outscores a padded 100-hour grind.
3. Monetization scored separately
Premium, honest free-to-play, and exploitative traps are labeled plainly. A fun game with predatory monetization gets a good fun score and a warning label — both, visibly.
4. Device reality
Games are tested on mid-range hardware, not flagships alone. If it only runs well on a $1,200 phone, the review says so.
5. Updates re-checked
Live-service games change. Major monetization or gameplay overhauls trigger re-testing and updated scores with the change noted.
